MK Lightning is thrilled to announce the re-signing of Cameron Hamill for the upcoming 2023/24 season. After a successful stint with the team last season, Hamill has decided to continue his journey with the Lightning, bringing his exceptional skills and dedication to the ice once again.
Hamill, who joined MK Lightning towards the end of the previous season on a 2-way contract with the Solway Sharks. In his 7 appearances with the Lightning, he displayed his ability, scoring a goal in this short time.
Having spent a significant portion of his junior career with the Belfast Giants juniors, Hamill’s experience and expertise make him a valuable asset to the MK Lightning lineup.Â
Head Coach Tim Wallace expressed his excitement about Cameron Hamill’s return to the team, stating, “I enjoyed coaching Cam last year, and I am glad we could get him back. Cam was very coachable and laid it on the line every shift. His work ethic and attitude are exactly what we are looking for within the organisation.”
Hamill himself expressed his delight at the prospect of returning to the team, saying, “I’m glad to be coming back again to a rink I fell in love with from the first time I played in it. The fans are great and really made me feel at home. I can’t wait to see what this season will bring us.”
Hamill is signed on a 2-way contract with MK Lightning and Thunder.
