Cardiff Devils

The Cardiff Devils are a Welsh ice hockey team who play in the British Elite Ice Hockey League. The team currently plays out of the Ice Arena Wales in Cardiff Bay. The team moved from the Cardiff Arena (also known as the Big Blue Tent) in March 2016 after playing their last game in the arena on 27 February against the Coventry Blaze.

The Cardiff Devils opened the Ice Arena Wales with a double home header fixture on 12 and 13 March against the Belfast Giants. They won both games, 5-2 and 4-3(OT)respectively
The Cardiff Devils are the reigning champions of the Elite Ice Hockey League, winning the 2016/17 season on 12 March 2017 with a 6-2 Away win against the Sheffield Steelers. This was their 1st Elite Ice Hockey League title, and 5th British League title overall. However, Cardiff were unable to complete their ‘grand slam’ hopes in 2017 after they lost to the Sheffield Steelers in the playoff final after 2 overtime periods 5-4.
