2021/22 season Captain Russell Cowley is leaving AIB MK Lightning.
One of the most experienced players in the league, Russ made 78 regular season appearances over 3 seasons for Lightning, picking up 99 points. Last season he scored 13 goals and 33 assists putting him 5th in our scoring charts.
Known for his experience and maturity, Russ has been a solid influence in the club over the last 3 years, and it has been good getting to know him and work with him over that time.
Russ said: “I would like to thank the organisation and the fans for my time and support whilst at MK. My personal situation has changed at this time, which I need to focus on.”
