MK Lightning is thrilled to announce the re-signing of forward Mack Stewart for the 2024/25 season, marking his third consecutive year with the team. Stewart, a skilled forward known for his offensive capabilities, made a significant impact last season, playing 51 games while notching 16 goals and 23 assists, contributing a total of 39 points.
Stewart, who spent most of his junior career with the Belfast Giants, also made a brief appearance with the Coventry Blaze last season. However, it was his impressive performances with the Lightning that solidified his place as a vital member of the squad.
Head Coach Tim Wallace expressed his enthusiasm for Stewart’s return, stating, “Mack is one of the fastest players in the league with a ton of potential. His offensive upside started to blossom at certain points in the year. His work ethic is very high, and I expect big things from him next year. He is a pleasure to be around, and we are lucky to have him.”
Stewart shared his excitement about returning to Milton Keynes, saying, “I’m glad to be back in MK. The fans and the organisation are one of the best around, and I’ve enjoyed every moment of playing here so far. Last year was a lot of fun, and hopefully, we can bring back another trophy next year.”
With Stewart’s renewed commitment, the Lightning looks forward to a successful season ahead, bolstered by his speed, offensive vision, and relentless work ethic. Fans are eager to see how his continued growth will contribute to the team’s pursuit of silverware in the upcoming campaign.
