The evening began with a poignant pre-game Remembrance ceremony, led by distinguished guests including:

  • Deputy Lord lt Sir Francis Habgood
  • Lt Col Thao Nguyen
  • Bugler Davis Wilson
  • Veteran & parade master Les Garman

This moving tribute set the tone for a memorable event, reflecting deep respect and commemoration.

Central to the ceremony was the tribute to fallen heroes. In a moving gesture, the team captains from both sides came together, laying poppy wreaths at the centre of the ice.

Following this was the playing of the Last Post on the bugle. This haunting melody, echoing through the arena, invited a profound silence from the audience.

For two impeccable minutes, players, officials, and fans alike stood in silent homage, honouring those who sacrificed their lives in service to their country.

The ceremony extended beyond Remembrance, embracing the spirit of giving and community support.

Lt Col Thao Nguyen then sang the National Anthem.

We are delighted to share that the grand total raised for the Royal British Legion (RBL) and MK Lightning is £8,303.30!

This incredible amount has been achieved through the tremendous fundraising efforts of the Supporters Club, along with the outstanding generosity of our fans. Own and Loan Remembrance Jerseys, online and match night sales of replica jerseys and special edition merchandise, have all contributed to raising such a fantastic amount. As a result, £4,151.65 will be donated to the RBL, with the same amount going towards MK Lightning.

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who contributed and showed their support for such an important cause — your generosity has made a real impact!
