Milton Keynes Lightning is pleased to announce a special celebration in honour of our dedicated Supporters Club during the game against the Swindon Wildcats at the Milton Keynes Arena on the 11th Feb 24. This event is a token of our appreciation for the support and commitment demonstrated by the MKL Supporters Club helpers, and a big “Thank you” from MKL.
The evening will commence with a ceremonial puck drop, for which we were delighted to welcome Dave, Richard, and Mary from the MKL Supporters Club Committee on to the ice.
In addition to the on-ice ceremony, Dave and the Committee will be presenting a cheque to MK Lightning reflecting the MKL Supporters Club’s extraordinary fundraising efforts since September.
Milton Keynes Lightning acknowledges and hugely appreciates this significant contribution, which supports our endeavours on and off the ice.
The amount raised has come from all activities the Supporters Club do around the rink on match nights, including the merchandise stand, 50:50 raffles, shirt off his back, Ollie’s grid, and Chuck a Duck.
This total also includes all the Own and Loan Jerseys they organise on behalf of the club.
Following the game, The MKL Supporters club helpers will come onto the ice for a whole team photo, before all the match night volunteers from the Supporters Club will join our players in the VIP area. This gathering provides an opportunity for our team to express their gratitude personally, fostering closer bonds between our players and those who support them from the stands and beyond.
