Matt Smital will no longer play for AIB MK Lightning. We will be finalising departure arrangements with Matt over the next week.
Matt joined MK Lightning at the start of the 2021/22 season and made 37 league appearances during that season, positing a .883 save percentage. In the playoffs he grabbed a shutout vs. Leeds Knights setting Lightning on the path to the Coventry weekend.
He has chosen to leave the club and we wish Matt the very best for his future career wherever this may be.
