Always delighted to help promote local businesses, the Smith Recycling Milton Keynes Lightning is proud to announce that their relationship with 123 Internet will be deepened in the 2018-19 ice hockey season, with the company becoming the club’s official digital marketing partners. In addition, they will become the corporate sponsor for British defenceman James Griffin.
123 Internet has also offered Griffin a full time industrial placement with the company. The move will provide the player with substantial hands-on experience to benefit his graphic design studies at University of Coventry.
Based in Milton Keynes, 123 Internet Group provides award-winning services to more than 450 corporate HQs and SMEs throughout Northampton, Milton Keynes, Buckingham, Bedford and the surrounding areas. They offer a comprehensive selection of digital services including web design, hosting and development, social media management and email marketing.
“We’re always happy to work with local businesses and we’re thrilled that Scott and his team want to become even more involved. They’ll be our official Digital Marketing Partners, advising us on all aspects of marketing the club via online media. Their offer of a full time placement for James will really help advance his experience for his degree course. We’re really looking forward to pushing on and seeing how 123 Internet can help Lightning’s exposure for the season ahead!”
Scott Jones, CEO of 123 Internet, commented that returning as a sponsor was a very quick decision:
“The team at 123 Internet Group are proud to have been chosen as the digital marketing partners of MK Lightning. We have lots of exciting plans for the marketing and are pleased to be working closely with Graham Monica and the wider team. Our team’s dedication and hardwork over the past few years has positioned us as one of the leading full service digital marketing agencies in MK and we look forward to our continued growth. We are proud to be supporting James Griffin with the player sponsorship not only as a team member of 123 Internet Group, but also as an upcoming star at the MK Lightning.”
As part of 123 Internet’s deal with the MK Lightning, the company will retain its rinkside barrier board – prominently located in front of the home team bench – as well as exposure in the club’s monthly magazine for supporters and on their website, mk-lightning.co.uk.
By becoming the commercial sponsor for James Griffin, the company’s name will be read out whenever the player is involved in a goal, assist or penalty during every MK Lightning home fixture next season.
