Milton Keynes Lightning are excited to announce the re-signing of centre Dillon Lawrence for the 2024/25 season. Dillon returns after playing 46 games, scoring 86 points from 45 goals and 41 assists last year for MKL. He brings his impressive shot, stick handling, and goal-scoring abilities back to the ice.
Dillon Lawrence, 29, hailing from Toronto, Canada, played a pivotal role in the Lightning’s success last season. Standing tall at 6’3″ and weighing 205 lbs, Lawrence’s physical presence and exceptional skill set make him a key player for the team. During the 2023/24 season, he battled through injuries but remained one of the most consistent performers, showcasing his resilience and dedication.
“Dillon is one of the best two-way centres I have coached. He is a very smart player and is almost perfect structurally. He has an NHL shot and is great on faceoffs. He battled through some injuries last year and was still one of our most consistent players throughout the year. If he puts in the work, I expect him to dominate next year,” said MK Lightning Head Coach Tim Wallace.
Lawrence shared his excitement about returning to the Lightning: “I had a great time here this season and am looking forward to being able to put the Lightning jersey back on. From teammates to fans to everyone that helps make the team run smoothly, it was an easy decision to come back and build on last year.”
