On Sunday James Griffin took a heavy collision to the boards and the Raiders player Jack Flynn. All due credit to Jack for the concern he showed following the hit which was not malicious and drew no penalty. Thanks to the Raiders physio who was quickly on the scene.
James was helped from the ice and received treatment in the locker room for a lower leg injury. Our medical staff were concerned enough that they advised James to attend A&E. Xrays and examinations, fortunately, confirmed no broken bones but did identify a leg injury and a good deal of swelling.
Once the swelling had subsided, our therapist David Down has examined James and determined that further investigation and scans are necessary. These are being arranged for James and a further treatment plan is being developed but for the time being, James will be out of action for the foreseeable future.
We wish him a speedy recovery!
