Excitement alert!  Our very own Disco, Liam Stewart, has committed to MKL for the 2022/23 season, his fourth season!   Well known as one of the most exciting players in the NIHL National, Liam picked up 41 points in 45 games for Lightning in the 2021/22 season is always a massive part of our energy and passion on the ice.   His background is top quality.  4 seasons in the WHL with Spokane, to EIHL appearances with Coventry and Guildford (via the ECHL).  He has represented GB at Under 20 and Senior Level, helping secure promotion out of Division 1B [...]

AIB MK Lightning add to their attack with pacey Latvian winger Deivids Sarkanis

He started strongly for us last year and has a great attitude.  Having appeared 24 times for AIB MKL last year, he went to the Bees for some more development and picked up 13 points in 20 games.  Now he’s back, he’s raring to go, and we are chuffed that’s he’s once again in the AIB MKL locker room. He’s back between the pipes.  Jordan Hedley returns to AIB MK Lightning for 2022/23

In a huge boost for AIB MK Lightning, Jordan Hedley is making his return to the club for the first time since 2017/18 after 4 seasons with Coventry Blaze in the Elite League.  Jordan will be fully committed to AIB MKL, and will only play for Blaze this season if they have injuries and need him to step in and start for them. Consistency and stability as MKL hockey lifer Ross Green is back on the blue line

Please welcome back Ross Green to Milton Keynes Lightning!  Ross is a massive MK ice hockey contributor, with a career which stretches back to MK Storm U16s in 2004.  In the 2021/22 season Ross made 44 MKL appearances, and picked up 14 points.  He’s known for his smooth skating, cool head, and leadership on and off the ice.  He’s also a fantastic ambassador for hockey in the town, supporting junior development and running hockey camps for a number of years. It’s official! Tyler Nixon is now an AIB MK Lightning Player!

He stepped into the breach last year when we really needed him and ended up sticking around and putting in some fantastic performances. Returning to the MK blueline for 2022/23 please welcome back Ben Russell to the AIB MK Lightning squad.  MK born 28 year old defenceman Ben brings a wealth of hockey experience with him from the UK, Canadian and American leagues as well as international appearances at under 18 and under 20 level.  He returns to the MKL lineup after 36 appearances and 5 points in the 2021/22 season. Dynamic young D-Man Milique Martelly commits to AIB MK Lightning
