NIHL GIVE UPDATE ON CHAMPIONSHIP SERIES FINALS SCHEDULED FOR APRIL

National Ice Hockey League press release The EIHA/NIHL had planned to deliver a number of events through April which are now postponed due to the COVID-19 outbreak. These NIHL Championship Series events are: NIHL National Final Four due to be held in Coventry on 17th and 18th April NIHL Division 1 Finals due to be held in Sheffield and Bracknell on 11th and 12th April NIHL Division 2 Finals due to be held in Widnes and Alexandra Palace on 4th and 5th April Discussions are ongoing amongst the league and venues in regard to the next step for these events. Thanks for your patience while we sort things out

Hi everyone, Since the EIHA announcement of the suspension of the season, we've been working hard to bring everything into order.  We've been helping our players get to where they need do, so Taylor Dickin has headed home to Canada.  Tomas and Robin are working in the MK area so are remaining nearby for now.  We also finished up all of the kit cleaning and drying to make sure that it remains in good condition and that we don't have to have MKL staff heading into the rink now that the advice is to work from home. All NIHL Games Cancelled for Remainder of Season

Information as of 9pm Monday 16th March IHUK, EIHA and SIH have met to confirm all competitive activity sanctioned by the EIHA and SIH up to and including 31st May 2020 is cancelled from Tuesday 17th March 2020 with a further statement on 1st May 2020 for all competitive activities after 31st May 2020.  All leagues operated by the EIHA and SIH will be amended over the next 48 hours to complete standings for the 2019/20 season. Further update regarding 2 MKL Players

We have seen some comments around 2 MKL players self-isolating and we'd like to clarify the situation.  These two players circumstances are a separate issue from our reasons for not playing today - those reasons still stand from our post this morning. No MKL players have symptoms. The housemate of one of our players has symptoms and the player chose to remain away from the team as soon as that was known.  He has not been at the rink, trained nor had any contact with any MKL staff or team.  He is not showing any symptoms. Postponing fixtures to manage COVID-19 risk

In the early hours of this morning, Leeds Chiefs released a statement regarding the postponement of today's fixture.  We'd like to give further details as to why this has occurred. Immediately after last night's game, our players had a team discussion and then requested a meeting with the MK Ice Hockey Club Board to let us know that they had clear and genuine concerns regarding the risks that continuing to play hockey this season is putting on them and their families. Coronavirus Update 12th March

Information as of 17:05 Thursday 12th March We’d like to share some information about how we as a club are monitoring Coronavirus and to confirm that, in light of the latest briefing from the Government just now, this weekend’s fixtures will go ahead as normal.
