We are delighted that we can finally run Air the Bear as normal this year. We will "Air the Bear" at our home match on the 10th December 2022 vs Swindon Wildcats. For that game, we'd love you to bring a bear and throw it when AIB MK Lightning score their first goal, so we can donate the teddies to MK Hospital Children's wards. AIB MK Lightning Christmas Jersey 2022/23 Season
The Christmas Jersey for the 22/23 season for All In Black MK Lightning has been released.  This year, we will wear our festive jersey on the 26th December against Peterborough.  This year’s jersey is available for Own and Loan and replicas will be available for purchase. Own & Loan costs £135 per jersey. Jerseys will be worn in the game on the 26th December vs Peterborough, and then available for collection along with a photograph with your player the following week at the game on the 7th Jan against Seahawks. GB U20 star Daniel Crowe becomes an AIB MK Lightning Netminder
He’s fresh off the plane back from over 6 seasons building his skills in the US junior system and we’re delighted that he’s put pen to paper with AIB MK Lightning for the rest of the season. Please welcome Daniel Crowe!  18 year old Daniel was born in Newcastle and spent the early part of his career learning the game in the Sheffield development system. He then moved to North America in 2016, joining Iowa Wild before moving on to Washington Little Caps then Team Maryland. He then headed to Minnesota where he played for Shattuck St Mary’s (fun [...]
Matt Smital Leaves AIB MK Lightning
Matt Smital will no longer play for AIB MK Lightning. We will be finalising departure arrangements with Matt over the next week.  Matt joined MK Lightning at the start of the 2021/22 season and made 37 league appearances during that season, positing a .883 save percentage. In the playoffs he grabbed a shutout vs. Leeds Knights setting Lightning on the path to the Coventry weekend.  He has chosen to leave the club and we wish Matt the very best for his future career wherever this may be.  We will share details of our new goaltender arrival later [...]
Three AIB MK Lightning Players Earn GB U20s Selection for World Championships
Huge congratualtions to three AIB MK Ligthning players who have been called up for GB U20 World Championships duty this December! Well done to Zaine McKenzie and Mack Stewart who make the squad and Milique Martelly who is on the reserve list. The travelling team will leave for Lithuania for a team camp on Tuesday 6th December immediately prior to the World Championships in Kaunas, Lithuania returning to the UK on Sunday 18h December. They will take part in the IIHF World U20’s Div. 2A Championships. Deivids Sarkanis Visa Update – we are 9 weeks into a 3 week process

Commemoration of Remembrance Day has always been a huge part of the Milton Keynes Lightning season, and this year is no exception. As a club, we are committed supporters of the Royal British Legion through the amazing fundraising efforts of the Milton Keynes Lightning Supporters Club. This year, we will be commemorating Remembrance Day at our fixture on Saturday 12th November against Telford Tigers. During that fixture, we will play in our commemorative jersey, and will welcome representatives of the Royal British Legion to join us for a presentation ceremony. Player Sponsor Evening in VIP
We are hugely grateful for all our sponsors at AIB MK Lightning. On Saturday 8th October we hosted all the "Player Sponsors" in the VIP area for the evening to watch the match against Basingstoke Bison. As part of their valued Player Sponsorship, sponsors get their name read out when their player does something good like a score a goal, or something not so good like penalty. They also get their name on the bottom of the jersey, and they received a signed framed jersey of their sponsored player, with engraved plaque – something we couldn’t have done without Dave [...]
MK Lightning help with a Charity Calendar
Yesterday evening MK Lightning helped with a Charity Calendar photo shoot. The 12 images on the Calendar are all profiling ladies to represent their background and their battle with Cancer. The calendar will be on sale soon, as well as an exhibition of the photos. The lovely Jane put on all the gear and was helped out onto the ice by Bobby and Sloth before posing with Hedley and Smital for photos. She did amazingly well, for a 71 year old, as the goalie gear isn't light, and being on the ice is strange in itself. A huge thank you [...]
