Bobby Chamberlain returns home to Hull
 After three seasons with MK Lightning, we are sad to share the news that Bobby Chamberlain is heading home to Hull as the Seahawks have just announced.  28 year old Bobby returned to MK for the 2020/21 season and took part in the Streaming Series, before making 2 full seasons of appearances for the club scoring 65 goals and 84 assists for 149 points in 90 regular season games.  A huge character on the ice, Bobby is an impact player and fan favourite, who will return to his native Hull and join the Seahawks for the 2023/24 [...]
Milique Martelly sets the tone for MKL’s 2023/24 Season
After a breakthrough season with MKL last year, he’s in hot demand so we are delighted that Milique Martelly has committed to MKL for 2023/24. Milique joins us on a full MKL contract.  Still only 18, Milique started life as a roller hockey player, and first took to skates when he was just 18 months old. He started playing competitive junior hockey around 8 years ago, and has developed quickly into one of the country’s top defenseman.  For MKL last year he made 45 appearances scoring 5 goals and 8 assists, and picked up a string of man-of-the-match [...]

Overall MK Lightning have had a successful season in the Planet Ice National Hockey League, securing second place in the League campaign and reaching the Semi-Final of the Cup. Team Commit to 2023/24 Planet Ice NIHL National Season

Teresa Mitchell to step down at the end of the season

Joe steps down as Host of Bench with the Lightning
We are sad to share that our Bench with the Lightning host Joe Raine will be stepping down at the end of the season to allow more time to pursue his career as a tennis coach.  Joe has run the Bench with the Lightning Experience over the past 5 seasons, and has brilliantly hosted over 300 guests on matchnights. If you don’t know, Bench with the Lightning is our pre-match experience which gives guests an exclusive tour of the locker room as well as spending time on the bench during the warmup.  Participants have given Joe some great [...]
