All in Black MK Lightning and the Winter Night Shelter
At the match on the 22nd December 23, Mk Lightning were collecting donations for the Winter Night Shelter in Milton Keynes, a very local charity located close to the rink.  Donations were requested from sleeping bags, cans of food, pens and paper to Costa Coffee vouchers, big or small anything would be appreciated, and the All In Black MK Lightning fan Base did not disappoint. The team came to see how generous everyone had been after the match yesterday, with the donations half filling the room at Planet Ice. He's flying high this season, flourishing in his role as Captain, and even knocking in the goals! So we really couldn't be happier to share the news that Lewis Christie, your number 66, will be having his testimonial on 29th April 2023. Save the date! 33 year old Lewy was born in Edinburgh, Scotland and began his career with Dundee and Edinburgh before earning his first international callup with GB U18s for whom he iced 9 times. Lewy then forged his career in the Elite League with Belfast Giants, and a brief stint in Basingstoke, before joining MKL in 2008. [...]
Air the Bear Teddy Delivery from All in Black MK Lightning
Our match on the 10th December 22 against Swindon Wildcats, was the All in Black MK Lightning annual Air the Bear match. When All in Black Milton Keynes Lightning score their first goal, teddies are thrown onto the ice, and then collected and delivered to Milton Keynes Hospital children's ward. All teddies are kindly donated by fans, and are brand new with tags in a sealed bags. All In Black MK Lightning and the Supporters Club helping the Homeless this Christmas. Â We are delighted to announce that this Christmas All in Black MK Lightning together with the MKL Supporters club will be collecting donations for The Winter Night Shelter in Milton Keynes. Signing News: Doucet and Hovell sign as cover
Gui Doucet signs as injury cover, plays this weekend Already missing 5 players on GB duty and with Sam Russell still working on his return it is a further blow that illness has forced Deivids Sarkanis to the sidelines for this weekend. As cover for Deivids we are delighted that Gui Doucet will be one again pulling on an MK jersey this weekend in our two matches. 36 year old Gui is Canadian and spent his career in the Canadian junior leagues, before moving to Europe and playing in the UK, France and Denmark. Pride and AIB MK Lightning The EIHA announced earlier in the season that EIHA Pride week will run between 20th-29th January 2023. This year, we have been able to work closely with the Supporters Club to have our very first Pride Jersey. These will be available for Own and Loan at £135 each, and replicas will be available to purchase online and at the SC stand. Great Britain will play international matches against Latvia and Hungary as part of their preparation for next year's World Championship. GB will face Latvia at the Motorpoint Arena in Nottingham on Saturday 22nd April (7pm), with the two sides meeting again in Coventry the following day, Sunday 23rd April (5:30pm).
