Joe Wilson Returns and Joins Showcase Tournament as Coach
In a double bit of good news, we are delighted to confirm, as announced at the End of Season Awards night, that Joe Wilson will return to MKL as Assistant Coach in a two year deal, and that he will also be one of the coaches at the EIHA’s Showcase tournament this weekend. Joe joined MKL at the start of last season and has worked incredibly hard over the last year as assistant coach, with responsibilities for running parts of practice, team building, player management and running the bench on matchnights.  MKL Director Tom Roberts had this to say: [...]
Callum Field returns to MK Lightning after a record goal-scoring year
MK Lightning are delighted to announce the re-signing of Callum Field for the 2023/24 season. This will be Callum's fourth season with the team, having played 55 games last year and scoring 12 goals and 3 assists, totalling 15 points. Callum began his junior career in MK, before moving to Sheffield and then returning to his local team. MK Lightning fans can look forward to seeing Jordan Hedley back between the pipes and helping the team to achieve their goals for the 2023/24 season. The talented goalie will return to the team for a second season after an impressive debut campaign last year. Last season, Hedley played 46 games for MK Lightning and recorded an impressive save percentage of 0.897. Coach’s Player of the Year James Griffin brings his physicality and speed to MK Lightning for another year
Today we are sharing the news of the re-signing of defenceman James Griffin for the 2023/24 season. The upcoming season marks Griffin's 9th year with the team, and we know fans will be excited to see him hit the ice once again. Last year, 30 year old James played in 45 games, scoring 6 goals and 10 assists, earning a total of 16 points and 76 penalty minutes. Playoff Finalist Harry Gulliver brings his attacking threat to MK Lightning
MK Lightning is excited to announce the signing of Harry Gulliver for the 2023/24 season. The 23-year-old forward was born in Essex and joins MK Lightning from Raiders Ice Hockey Club, where he scored an impressive 22 goals and 31 assists during the 2022/23 season. Gulliver's hockey journey began at the Okanagan Hockey Academy, where he honed his skills and developed into the player he is today. Bobby Chamberlain returns home to Hull
 After three seasons with MK Lightning, we are sad to share the news that Bobby Chamberlain is heading home to Hull as the Seahawks have just announced.  28 year old Bobby returned to MK for the 2020/21 season and took part in the Streaming Series, before making 2 full seasons of appearances for the club scoring 65 goals and 84 assists for 149 points in 90 regular season games.  A huge character on the ice, Bobby is an impact player and fan favourite, who will return to his native Hull and join the Seahawks for the 2023/24 [...]
Milique Martelly sets the tone for MKL’s 2023/24 Season

Overall MK Lightning have had a successful season in the Planet Ice National Hockey League, securing second place in the League campaign and reaching the Semi-Final of the Cup.
