Milton Keynes Lightning is delighted to announce the return of Carter Hamill for the 2024/25 season. Hamill, known for his robust physical play and relentless forechecking, is set to bring his goal-scoring touch back to the ice after a successful previous season.

In the 2023/24 season, Hamill showcased his skills across 35 games, scoring 8 goals and contributing 13 assists for a total of 21 points. Despite a mid-season injury while representing the GB U20s, Carter’s impact was profoundly felt, especially in key game moments, making him a standout player in critical matches.

Carter shared his excitement about his return, saying, “I’m excited to be back for another season in Milton Keynes and build on the success we had this season. From the fans to the players, coaches, owners, and volunteers, everyone who is a part of the MKL family are amazing people and it was a no-brainer to come back.”

MK Lightning’s Head Coach, Tim Wallace, commented on Carter’s re-signing: “Carter has a great attitude and work ethic. He plays a gritty game and crashes the net. He was one of our best players on the forecheck and came to work every night. Carter wants to get to the next level and with his dedication to the game, the sky is the limit for Carter.”

After developing his early career with Belfast Juniors and showing promising potential in the GB U20s team, Hamill’s return is highly anticipated by both the team and its supporters. His ability to influence the game, paired with his scoring capabilities and physical presence on the ice, aligns with MK Lightning’s objectives for the upcoming season.
