Following the tremendous popularity of last season’s pink EIHL Challenge Cup jerseys, this season we are again offering our supporters the chance to own a game-worn one.
For the 2018-19 campaign the Smith Recycling Milton Keynes Lightning are not only offering fans the chance to buy a replica pink jersey – but you can bid to win one worn by your favourite player then have them present it to you after the club’s last cup fixture.
There will be no “Shirt Off His Back” competition for Home Cup fixtures so you can be 100 per cent sure the jersey you get after the campaign will be the one worn in battle!
Shirts will be sold in an open auction, the same as last season. A board will be displayed by the Supporters’ Club stand on home matchnights showing the highest current bid for each player. Supporters can place bids in person at home Cup fixtures until the clock at centre ice shows five minutes remaining of the second period break.
Supporters can place bids via email to firstname.lastname@example.org but bids will not be accepted or recognised on home game days.
Bidding opens at 8pm Tuesday 11 September.
The auction will close at the end of the team’s last home Cup fixture – whether they are knocked out before the final, or go all the way and lift the trophy!
Every penny of the profits will be go direct to the Lightning, to help meet ongoing running costs – so by bidding, you could be directly contributing to the team’s success!
Watch out for the bidding board at our first home Cup fixture against Coventry Blaze on Saturday 15 September.
