We are delighted that we can finally run Air the Bear as normal this year.
We will “Air the Bear” at our home match on the 10th December 2022 vs Swindon Wildcats.
For that game, we’d love you to bring a bear and throw it when AIB MK Lightning score their first goal, so we can donate the teddies to MK Hospital Children’s wards.
Here’s the details:
All bears MUST be brand new with tags
Bears to be put in a carrier bag / clear plastic bag and tied (cable ties are handy for this)
At the first goal, people throw the bag with the bear in it onto the ice
Supporting skaters will then collect the bears which will be delivered to MK Hospital children’s ward by some of the team later in the week.
