With the recent demise of the Manchester Phoenix, Lightning management have been working extremely hard to add to our fixture list, which has not been an easy task due to the late stage of the season.

Your Smith Recycling MK Lightning are excited to announce that Pete Russell’s roster will get a unique chance to test their skills against the EIHL Manchester Storm  at 7.30pm on Wednesday 22nd February 2017.

The Storm name returned to the Elite League two years ago and the team currently sit sixth in the EIHL table, under the leadership of Head Coach Omar Pacha.

MK Head Coach Peter Russell said, “We can’t thank our friends at Manchester Storm enough for agreeing to this fixture. With the demise of the Phoenix we have had to look at how we can fulfil our commitments to the fans and we believe this is a great opportunity for the fans and the club as a whole to see what we need to achieve before the start of next season”.

Storm GM Neil Russell commented, “When we heard that Lightning were looking for some additional fixtures we were more than happy to help and we look forward to making our first visit to Milton Keynes”.
