Introducing Air the Bear 2019 which will be collecting teddies for the Children’s Ward at Milton Keynes Hospital. Last year hundreds of bears were donated making a massive difference to the children at this time of year, knowing that they were being thought about by others. Smith Recycling Milton Keynes Lightning players will be visiting the ward to hand out the bears on Monday 16th December.
All you have to do to support this amazing event is:
Buy a brand new teddy bear or soft toy – any size is fine but it has to be new
Put it into a clean plastic bag (don’t worry we will reuse or recycle all the bags) and seal the bag up. Cable ties often work well for this
Bring you teddy with you to the game, and when Lightning score their first goal, throw your teddy onto the ice where it will be collected by our helpers
If we don’t score, then just throw on the final buzzer of the third period instead
