MILLIQUE MARTELLY
After spending his early hockey career in the Streatham youth system, Milique first played for Lightning in the 2021-22 season on a two-way contract with the London side, thanks to MKL’s close links with Streatham’s then player-coach Michael Farn. Since then, he’s become a real fan favourite, using his speed and skill to stop many an opposition forward!
PATRIK FOSBERG
A mid-season addition to our roster just before Christmas, 6’ 3” Finnish defenceman Patrik brought a wealth of European ice hockey experience to MK. A strong, steady presence on the blue line. he has logged extensive ice time in various high-tier European leagues, showcasing a powerful shot and solid two-way play. Combining size, strength, and experience, Forsberg has proven adept at shutting down opponents and launching rapid transitions up the ice.
HARRY GULLIVER
Harry’s certainly made an impact in his debut Lightning season – not just for his ability but also for THAT song! Harry finessed his hockey skills at the Okanagan Hockey Academy under the now GB Head Coach and former Lightning boss, Pete Russell, earning call ups for GB at U18 and U20 levels. After four years in the US he returned to the British game and signed for MKL after a solid season with Raiders – practising his own brand of magic in MK!
MARTINS SUSTERS
Latvian forward Martins joined us from local rivals Peterborough at the start of this season and has already made a huge impact in our offensive threat, hitting the back of the net regularly as well as helping set up goals. His offensive skills and ability to protect the puck make him a formidable presence on the ice!
SEAN NORRIS
The Lightning faithful lifted the roof off to cheer Sean back onto the ice when he returned to MK in the autumn, after just over a season in the Elite league and having also established his place in the Great Britain team. Since his return he’s showcased the skills that earned him his international call ups and contributed regularly to our points tally!
BOBBY CHAMBERLAIN
What else can we say about Bobby that you don’t already know? He’s a points scorer with an uncompromising style – a player that can be difficult to play against but you love him in your own team’s colours! Bobby moved back to his hometown team Hull Seahawks last season where he leads from the front wearing the C on his jersey. PLAYER SPONSORSHIP AVAILABLE
LUC JOHNSON
As well as being a time-served Milton Keynes hockey stalwart with Storm, Thunder and Lightning, MK-born Luc captained both the Great Britain U18 and U20s – winning bronze medals at two successive World Junior Championships. He played more than 100 games wearing Lightning’s colours and is another player we still see regularly as he currently plays for our NIHL rivals, Swindon Wildcats. PLAYER SPONSORSHIP AVAILABLE
LEWIS CLIFFORD
‘Cliff’ earned his playing spurs with nine seasons at Thunder as both player and coach, before joining Lightning as Assistant Coach. In 2019 he took the reins in his own right as Head Coach, leading the team to the play off final in April 2022 and we know you’ll raise the roof for him at Griff’s Big Night!
LEIGH JAMIESON
Jaimo’s is another of the shirt numbers that’s been retired and raised to the rafters above block 14, as an MK legend, having made over 600 league appearances for Lightning. His career also includes Elite experience and international honours at World Championships and Olympic qualifier levels. After 12 seasons with Lightning he icied for a season in Chelmsford colours in NIHL1 before hanging up his skates – and we know many fans will remember his testimonial here a few years ago.
