Milton Keynes Lightning Ice Hockey Club is thrilled to announce the signing of Non British trained defenceman Jordan Spadafore for the 2024/25 season. Spadafore, from Ontario Canada, is known for his strong physical play and defensive prowess, brings a new level of intensity and skill to the team.
Last season with the Evansville Thunderbolts (USA), Spadafore played 46 games, scoring 3 goals, 2 assists, and racking up 137 penalty minutes, showcasing his aggressive style and commitment on the ice . All previous teams Jordan has played for were in his native Canada.
Spadafore expressed his excitement about joining MK Lightning: “I’m very excited to be coming to Milton Keynes. I’ve heard nothing but good things about the city, the organisation, and most importantly the fans. I’m excited to get things going.”
Head Coach Tim Wallace is equally enthusiastic about Spadafore’s addition: “Jordan is the type of player that will help us win hockey games. He is a great skater with great fundamentals who plays a heavy game. He is hard to play against but also possesses a solid shot from the blue line. I like the way he approaches the game and he will fit right in with our group.”
Known for his strong hits, and solid skating ability, Spadafore is expected to be a formidable presence on the blue line. His defensive skills, coupled with his ability to contribute offensively, make him a valuable asset for the team.
Fans can look forward to seeing Spadafore* in action as he helps drive MK Lightning toward a successful season.Â
