Milton Keynes Lightning are pleased to announce the re-signing of goalie Will Kerlin for the 2024/25 season, fresh off a year that brought the thrill of a cup victory and showcased his critical role within the team. Kerlin, whose performance between the pipes has been a linchpin in the team’s recent success, looks to further his impact in the upcoming season.

Standing at 186 cm and weighing 88 kg, Kerlin has proven himself a formidable presence in goal. Last season, he appeared in 31 games for the Lightning, posting a save percentage of .890, confirming his reliability and skill in crucial moments.

“Very excited to be back in MK next year! Was a great year, the fans were amazing all season long and really felt like a 6th player on the ice. Was amazing to win the Cup as a team in front of this amazing fan base! But I feel like as an organisation we are hungry for more next season. That is one of the reasons I signed back as I want to win and I feel like there is no better place to do so than right here in MK. Can’t wait for the new season to start!!!” Kerlin enthusiastically shared about his re-signing.

Head Coach Tim Wallace also expressed his confidence in Kerlin’s abilities and his integral role in the team. “Will proved himself this year that when he is relied upon he can come in and do a job. Will will continue to create healthy competition within our goaltending group. Will is a pleasure to be around and plays just as hard in practice as he does in the games. With his work ethic, he will continue to improve and help us win hockey games. We couldn’t have had the year we had without Will stepping up when Hedley was injured,” said Wallace.

Kerlin’s commitment to the team and his on-ice prowess will be central as the Lightning strive to build on their success and reach new heights in the NIHL.

Will will wear his usual number 31 jersey, which is now available to Own and Loan from 9.30am Friday.   Please email dave@b2promodesign.com to Own and Loan stating what jersey you would like – Light, Dark, Warm-up or any!
