We have seen the awful challenges that Swindon Wildcats are facing at the moment with the loss of their home ice. We offered them as much flexibility as we could in helping them continue to play and are pleased to say that this weekends Swindon Wildcats vs. Milton Keynes Lightning future will now go ahead in Milton Keynes.
Here’s the details:
- Saturday 30th September 2023, Faceoff 7pm
- MK Lightning Season Tickets are not valid
- Your season ticket seat/ space will be held for you to buy, at a discounted price of £13.50 (plus Planet Ice Booking Fee) per Adult ticket. Season Ticket holders will be emailed directly about the process to buy separately when this is confirmed (please bear with us).
- Tickets will go on sale as soon as possible (we will post again when they do)
- Blocks 7 – 11 will be the Swindon blocks, however MKL Season Ticket holders will still have their seats reserved (and Swindon fans will be a friendly bunch!)
- MKL will use their normal locker room, and will attack block 2 twice as usual
- Scoreboard and paperwork will indicate Swindon as the ‘Home Team’
- There will be 50/50 and Shirt of His Back run by Swindon (though you may see some MKL people helping sell tickets)
- MKL Supporters Club table will be open as normal, selling MKL merchandise
- There will be no MK player signings after the game and no MKL mascots
- MKL players will leave the ice first (as the away team)
Huge thanks to a number of MKL off-ice volunteers, Supporter’s Club and helpers who have stepped up to assist. Also thanks to our Lightning TV team who will be running the stream.
We’re happy to help Swindon in their time of need, and look forward to hosting them in their temporary MK home for one night only!
