So far this year we have been pleased with the progress we have been making in our talent development, having agreed our player development partnership at the start of the season with Belfast Giants. We’re now delighted to expand this further by agreeing a two-way deal with Coventry Blaze for Sam Talbot. Congratulations Sam!
Sam has been playing some great hockey this year off the back of a strong campaign with us last season. So far he has scored over 30 points for AIB MK Lightning, so it’s no surprise that he has caught the eye of Blaze Head Coach Danny Stewart.
Lightning’s Tim Wallace had this to say about the deal: “I’m pleased for Sam. He has worked hard this year and deserves this opportunity. Through this agreement Sam will get the opportunity to play at the highest league in the U.K. and see the pace and skill at the next level. I’m excited to see him mature and develop through this opportunity. It’s a win-win for both parties and I am certain Sam will continue to put in the work and this will be a great learning experience for him”
Well done Sam, this is a great recognition of your contribution this year.
