If it’s Tuesday then it must be time for more testimonial news – time for another exclusive reveal of more players who’ll be joining LEIGH JAMIESON to celebrate his testimonial on Saturday 20th August, in association with All In Black Group.
This week’s announcement covers two players whose presence on a shift meant almost guaranteed fireworks and time in the penalty boxes!
KURT IRVINE
A name the long-standing Lightning fans will know and love, Kurt iced for MKL for five seasons from 2004. The Birmingham-born forward certainly kept timekeepers around the league busy during his time with us, averaging around five penalty minutes per game – a whopping 892 penalty minutes in 174 games!
CHRIS WIGGINS
“Wiggy” may only have iced with Lightning for two seasons – 2012 and 2014 – but the impression he made on supporters has lived long in the memory! Standing 6ft 6ins tall even without his skates, Chris made an imposing presence on the ice and it was a brave opposition player who went toe-to-toe with him.
