Milton Keynes Lightning The Official Web Site – Milton Keynes Lightning

Its game day…CUP FINAL DAY!

At 7pm this evening your Smith Recycling MK Lightning face the visiting Peterborough Phantoms for the honour of lifting the English Premier League Cup.

It was the narrowest of defeats for MKL last Sunday in Peterborough meaning that to lift the cup, Lightning must win in regulation time and then win in either five minute short of sudden death overtime or best-of-theee penalty shots.

And we have a complete ticket sell out for this fixture – so please don’t travel to Planet Ice MK unless you have already bought or reserved a ticket.

For those supporters (of either team!) who DO have a ticket – we strongly recommend that you arrive with as much time to spare as possible….there will be well over 2,000 people with us for the game!

Rugby fans can enjoy Ireland v England 6 Nations action on the big screens in the 1st floor Tag Taylor Bar from 5pm before taking your seat for MKL v Phantoms with food and drink available. The ground floor Fuel & Hydration Station will also be serving hot snacks and drinks for early arrivals.

The turnstiles open for rinkside at around 6pm with all food and drink concessions open at rinkside. Teams will be on the ice from 6.20 for warm up.

The jackpot in our 50-50 draw will be at least £1000 – get your tickets

50-50 sellers Norma Colin

from 6pm until the end of the first break from sellers in hi-viz jackets at £1 each, 3 for £2 or 10 for £5.

There’ll also be all our usual activities – shirt raffles, golden goal, Natty’s Grid and Chuck A Duck. Every penny of the profits goes direct to the team to help pay for ongoing running costs, so by joking in you’re helping fund your team!

Our matchnight programme, the Lightning Review, will be on sale at the Supporters’ Club stand just £2 a copy – Team Captain Adam Carr is on the cover with a pull out poster of Antti Hölli.

If you haven’t already got your ticket for the End of Season Awards (Sat 15 April) you can pick that up from the Supporters’ Club stand at rinkside – the event is strictly ticket only and they won’t be on sale on the night – with fewer than 30 left, don’t miss out!

The Supporters’ Club stand is also where you’ll find a whole host of MKL goodies from replica jerseys and hoodies to pens and car stickers.

The house lights will do down at 7pm for Lightning’s showstopping entrance – make sure you’re in your seat and ready – then let battle commence!
