Get in the pink with Challenge Cup jersey!

With our pre-season schedule off to a storming start thanks to two great home wins, the Smith Recycling Milton Keynes Lightning have more good news for supporters – with another jersey design about to go on sale.

At last month’s season launch event, Quin Pompi sported a special design pink and blue jersey that the team will wear in our upcoming Challenge Cup fixtures. The original intention was not to release a replica but such has been the demand for that design, that they WILL now be available on general sale – alongside the home, away and warm up designs.

Dave Bunyan, Chairman of the MKL Supporters’ Club which co-ordinates merchandise sales, commented: “The home, away and warm up jerseys are already proving very popular but we’ve been blown away by the demand for the Challenge Cup design – so Graham and Monica (Moody, the club’s owners) have taken the decision to make it available to everyone.

“But the uniqueness of the game worn jerseys won’t be lost at all, as they’ll be auctioned at a later date with half the profits donated to Breast Cancer Care.

“It’s going to be a great season seeing so many people supporting the team by wearing Lightning colours around the Arena!”

As with the other jersey designs, prices have been held at last season’s levels to acknowledge support of Lightning’s fans as the club heads towards its Elite League debut this weekend: jerseys with a player’s name and number cost £50 and personalised jerseys £55 for orders placed by 30 September. From 1 October onwards the cost will be £55 / £60 respectively.

Orders will be taken starting from Tuesday’s home league match against Gothiques d’Amiens (7.30pm Tuesday 5 Sept) at the Supporters’ Club stand at rinkside.  Gold members of the Supporters’ Club can claim a 15% discount and standard members get 10% off the price.
