Arrive early for sold-out EPL Cup Final!

Arrive with plenty of time to spare for Saturday’s showdown: that’s the message from EPL Cup Finalists the Smith Recycling MK Lightning ahead of the decisive second leg this weekend.

With just over 48 hours still to go before the puck drops to decide if Lightning or local foes Peterborough Phantoms will raise a trophy, the fixture looks almost certain to be a complete sell out, with just a handful of seating and standing tickets remaining.

Last Sunday’s first leg in Peterborough saw MKL suffer the narrowest of defeats – but GB Head Coach Pete Russell’s team is very much still in the running; a win in regulation time will force five minutes of sudden-death overtime followed, if needed, by penalty shots.

Well over 2,000 supporters are expected at Planet Ice Milton Keynes on Saturday evening and the club is strongly advising fans to arrive with time to spare, and not miss any of the action on a momentous night.

Rugby fans can enjoy Ireland v England 6 Nations Rugby on the big screens in the first floor, family-friendly Tag Taylor Bar & Grill at Planet Ice MK from 5pm before taking their seats for Lightning v Phantoms.

Downstairs, the Fuel & Hydration Station sells a wide range of hot and cold drinks and snacks – and Papa John Pizzas can be cooked to order to eat immediately or for collection in one of the two period breaks.

The turnstiles will open to rinkside at approximately 6pm for fans of both teams to take their seats, with players on the ice at 6.25pm for warm up. The Supporters’ Club stand inside the main entrance will have a full range of MKL clothing and souvenirs on sale as well as a commemorative Cup Final programme.

The hour before face-off is also a chance to buy the ticket that could net you £1,000 – the prize in Saturday’s 50-50 draw! Tickets are just £1 each, 3 for £2 or 10 for £5. You can also buy tickets for the shirt raffles, Natty’s Grid, Golden Goal or Chuck A Duck.

The house lights will go down at 7pm for Lightning’s showstopping entrance. Supporters are advised not to travel to the fixture without having booked a ticket in advance. Supporters who have reserved but not yet paid for their ticket are requested to allow plenty of time to complete their transaction before 7pm.
